Tres Leches Cake Recipe

A rich, moist cake soaked in a blend of three milks, topped with whipped cream—perfectly sweet and indulgent!

Ingredients

Cake:

  • 150g flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 4 egg yolks

  • 55g Sugar

  • 100g Milk

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 4 Egg whites

  • 85g Sugar

Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 30-35 minutes! 🩷 Allow the cake cool completely after baking.

Milk bath:

  • 120g condensed milk

  • 160g milk

  • 160g evaporated milk ( or 100g heavy cream + 20g milk)

Cream:

  • 200ml whipping cream

  • 20g sugar

Preheat the oven and prepare a baking dish. Separate egg yolks and whites into two bowls.

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.

Whisk the yolks with sugar until creamy, then mix in milk and vanilla.

Sift together flour, baking powder, and fold into the yolk mixture.

Gently fold the egg whites into the batter until smooth.

Pour the batter into the dish and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.

Whisk together evaporated milk, condensed milk, and milk.

Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it.

Spread whipped cream on top, chill and serve.
